About Us

We are a group of enthusiasts who are interested in the various models belonging to the Ford Capri range, irrespective of mark or condition.

In 2016 we extended the reaches of the club to incorporate owners of other classic Ford models under our KLCC Connect badge (please visit our dedicated web page for more details).

We convene at the Crown Public House in Gayton on the second Monday of the month, including bank holidays, at 8pm. Visiting like-minded enthusiasts and potential new members are always welcome to come along.

The main topic discussed after club affairs is of course the Ford Capri and cars in general.

We have a wealth of engineering “know how” available within the club thanks to members who are motor engineers in their own right and other members who have performed maintenance work, modifications and rebuilds on their own vehicles. As a result, they have that valuable commodity “Experience”.

To become a full member of the club costs £20 per annum, with a concession of £10 for social members who do not wish to show their cars but wish to receive our monthly newsletter.

Subscriptions are payable in January and are pro-rata for new members who join later in the year.

Full membership covers you for Public Liability under the Club Insurance, up to £2 million, at any shows you may attend with KLCC. It also entitles you to twelve editions of the Club’s monthly newsletter.

Information about joining the club can be found in the Contact Us page.

Points are allocated to members for annual prizes (see our Trophy Cabinet) and in both cases the trophies are engraved and held by the winners for a period of 12 months. Points are allocated as follows: –

Supporter of the Year

1 point is awarded to each member for attending a club meeting or function.

2 points are awarded to each member showing their car at an event (there is a stipulation that at least two members must be present at the same show).

Best Car of the Year

2 points are awarded to one individual per show and it goes without saying that your car must be road legal in order to participate. Potentially more than one show may be held on the same day and all points qualify providing at least two club members are present per show.

Where two or more members attend a show with their Capris, they may select a member of the general public to pick out the club car they like best, with the owner of the Capri chosen on the day winning the points.

At the end of the year, the member with the most points accumulated per individual category will be awarded the relevant trophy.
